Static Website Hosting with AWS S3 & Amplify
A static website deployment project using Amazon S3 for storing website assets and AWS Amplify for managed hosting, HTTPS, and public access without managing any servers.

About this project
Static Website Hosting with AWS S3 & Amplify
This project demonstrates how to deploy a static website on AWS without managing a traditional web server. I used Amazon S3 to store the website files and AWS Amplify Hosting to deploy and serve the website publicly.
The website contains standard frontend assets such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and images. After uploading the project files to an S3 bucket, I connected the bucket with AWS Amplify and used Amplify to handle the hosting and deployment process.
This project helped me understand how AWS managed services can be combined to create a simple, scalable, and low-maintenance hosting solution for static websites.
What I implemented
* Created and configured an Amazon S3 bucket for website assets
* Uploaded HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and image files to S3
* Connected the S3 bucket with AWS Amplify Hosting
* Configured Amplify to deploy the static website
* Generated a public URL for accessing the website
* Verified the deployed website through the Amplify hosting URL
* Used AWS-managed infrastructure without provisioning or maintaining a server

Key Takeaway
The project demonstrates a practical way to host static websites on AWS with minimal infrastructure management. S3 provides reliable object storage for the website assets, while Amplify provides a managed hosting layer for serving the application publicly.
This setup is well suited for portfolios, landing pages, documentation websites, and other static web applications where a traditional backend server is not required.
